Ride For The Cave

On some old maps, the staff of the library found the location of the town Citern. A group of Horsemen was sent out towards the town. From the town, the group followed the road as described in the text..

Forgon, the leader of the Horsemen, stopped his men where the mountain pass was too narrow for the horses. The horses were left behind and the Men continued on foot. Higher and higher the pass went, narrower and narrower it became. At one point the path was just wide enough, for one person at the time. Eventually, the group ended up at what they recognised, as the entrance of a cave. With burning torches, the group entered. The cave consisted of one short tunnel and one square chamber. It was a carved out cave, carved out by the ancient Humans. In the middle of the chamber was a flat rock that functioned as a table. On the table, Forgon saw scrolls. Dusty, damaged by time and everything, these had to be the Magic Scrolls.

What the.. look at this! One of the Men said with horror in his voice.

In the light of the Man's torch, Forgon saw a pile of bones, skeletons, remains of apparently ancient Humans.

There are more of them over here. Another of Forgon's Men said.

Here too. Added another.

What has happened in this place? Forgon thought out loud.
